Saturday July 8th the second edition of La Nave di Nana took place in Gaeta on Serapo beach. The Treasure Hunt is hold on Francesca Martini’s Remembrance Day and aims at fostering awareness about research studies on leukemias. Thanks to the generosity of more than 100 participants and their families the fundraising this year hits €1230,00. Thank you to the great family of La Nave di Serapo that for one day turns into La Nave di Nana!
First edition took place on July 9th 2016 at “La Nave di Serapo”. Thanks to the generosity of the participants – young children and families – and the commitment of Francesca’s friends, €1090,00 were collected in the fundraising.
The second edition of Francesca Martini Prize to the Best Poster in Cancer Research was won by Davide Cassani for his poster “Cryo electron tomography of actomyosin cortex in isolated blebs“. Davide Cassani graduated at the Politecnico di Milano and currently works at University College London. Here is his C.v.
The Francesca Martini Prize to the Best Poster in Cancer Research stems from a collaboration between NAnA onlus and SIBBM, the Italian Society of Biophysics and Molecular Biology. An International Jury of Scientists choses the best poster among those exhibited at the Annual SIBBM Seminar.
This year the SIBBM Seminar “Frontiers in Molecular Biology” took place from June 14 to 16 in Milan.
The Francesca Martini Prize First Edition, in 2016, was awarded to Stefano Amente of the University Federico II of Naples for the poster “High-resolution genome profiles of 8-oxodeoxyguanine, γH2AX and NBS1 reveal their co-association at transcribed long genes“
